San Diego State University
This is Yusuf Ozturk, the professor at San Diego State University, who made my research to SDSU possible. He also set up connections with Marcie Bober, the Head of the Educational Technology Department.
This is a set up of an experiment that was going on at the time in the SDSU Electrical Engineering Department (I hope this shot is not top secret ;-) !).
My humble office in the North Education building, but: I had an own office, _and_ it was the former office of the current Head of the Department :-D ! so hey!
This is the building on the SDSU campus, where I had an office in during my visit. All buildings are well air-conditioned in San Diego (who can imagine, why?!) :-D. The best coffee was served right outside the building in a little tent that served organic coffee! Good stuff!
Just a road on campus. Very typical for the campus: the tall palm trees. They were all over the place and I was wondering if they are actually native to this area, or, if they are just nice looking trees and everyone there plants them on sidewalks and backyards!
Another road on the SDSU campus (see the palm trees?!) down to the parking lot. And never a single cloud in the sky, just blue.
We went fishing on the Pacific Ocean when my host parents Carol and Paul came to visit from New York. The first catch of the day was a beautiful cod, and I was the lucky one to catch it! It looks like an ancient creature with its fins spread like that!
Here are the four of us resting after having caught a bunch of fish (from the right): Carol & Paul (who sponsored the fishing trip -- thank you!), Silvio & Susanne.
This sign was posted on a building across the street from the San Diego apartment building I was staying in. I was wondering what the people, who lived in that building, were thinking about that sign.
